Travel after a long absence

I went on a trip with my family last weekend. The destination is Okunoshima in
Hiroshima Prefecture, and the biggest feature of that island is that there are rabbits
     all over the island.
There is a poisonous gas factory on Okunoshima during the war,
and there is a history that rabbits were released to confirm that there was no
poisonous gas after the war. It seems that the number of rabbits increased from
those rabbits and it exceeded 1000 at one time. However, when I arrived at the
island, I noticed something unusual. I`ve been there several times in the past,
but the number of rabbits has clearly decreased since then. The cause is that the
boom, which had been rising rapidly for a while, has cooled and the food has               decreased. I thought that excessive epidemics would have a negative effect.

  1. I didn't know Okunosima well. The sight of many rabbits is probably wonderful. However, I feel sorry that they had to live the place where it might be dangerous.

  2. I'm reading a book now about Okinoshima!

    It is called 地図から消された島.

    Very serious, but important.
